From the shores of the Mediterranean to the magnificent world of myth. A book that takes you on a journey with Jean Julien.

Jean Jullien is a French artist who is popular in Japan for his work with clients such as Suntory and the magazine BRUTUS, as well as his installation "Osaka Sea Beasts" at the Osaka Expo.
This book is a collection of works depicting his memories of the Mediterranean coast, which he traveled from the Bigouden region of Brittany, France, to Italy and Greece.
Sketches made during his travels, exhibition views at Galerie Masurel in Lyon, and illustrations of finishedpaintings: these works are presented in three different ways, alternating between different formats and paper types, allowing readers to relive in a multi-layered way what he saw and felt on his travels.

The tranquil Mediterranean seascape eventually evokes in his inner world the heroes of Greek mythology that he had admired since childhood.
This book allows you to experience the dramatic excitement and experimental spirit of moving between the worlds of reality and fantasy.

Written in both English and French.
